How would you feel about helping someone else learn how to use Gale Digital Scholar Lab?

I feel confident in my ability to help someone else learn how to use Gale Digital Scholar Lab, especially after this week’s class.

What did you find most interesting? What did you find most frustrating? What questions do you still have, and what parts of the tool do you want to explore more deeply?

I found the sentiment analysis feature the most interesting because it quantifies (or tries to quantify) attitudes/moods (very subjective) surrounding a topic, to varying degrees of success. Something I found frustrating, and a question I have is about the cleaning feature. When I try to save certain settings (ex: ignoring special characters) for a specific cleaning configuration, they don’t save. I am not sure how to make it so that the settings save for specific cleaning configurations.

Something that I would like to explore more deeply is how specific you could get when analyzing text. For example, could you compare attitudes about a topic across languages? Would you have to create two different content sets to do that?
